Privacy notice

Last updated 7 September 2026. Written to match what the software actually does.

This notice explains what OneLess (the app), this website and our support channel do with information. If we change the software, we change this page first.

Who is responsible

OneLess is made by Chris Silver, operating in the United Kingdom. For anything about your data, email support@cubedcreation.com.

The app: everything stays on your phone

OneLess has no account and no sign-in. What you enter in the app is stored only on your device, in the app's own storage:

  • Your plan: the kind of plan, its dates, and how many times a day you said you pick up your vape.
  • Your first name and the reason you gave for stopping, if you entered them.
  • Your weekly spend figure, used only to estimate savings.
  • Pick-ups and slips you log, cravings you log with the trigger you chose, and the outcome.
  • Checklist progress, which support technique you last used, and the plans you have moved on from.
  • After your stop date: check-in answers, the situations you name, and the one-line plans you write for them, plus your reminder preference.
  • Any savings goal you set, with its name and amount, and what matters most to you if you chose one.

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else by the app. We cannot see it. It is included in your device backup if you back up your phone, under Apple's terms.

Deleting it. Settings › Delete all data removes everything above from the device. Deleting the app also removes it.

Export. The CSV export, part of Premium, writes your log to a file that you choose where to send. Nothing is sent by us.

Premium. Which features are unlocked is decided on the device from Apple's entitlement record. If Premium ends, nothing is deleted: your history and the plans you wrote stay readable.

Notifications. If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled on your device by the app. No notification content leaves your phone.

Purchases

OneLess Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and holds the purchase record; we receive no name, email or payment details. The app checks your entitlement with Apple to unlock Premium and to switch it off if a subscription lapses or is refunded. Apple's handling of your data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Analytics

Off unless you turn it on. The app has a single switch, "Share anonymous diagnostics and usage", in onboarding and in Settings. It is off by default and nothing below happens while it is off.

When it is on, the app sends two kinds of information: crash reports, so we can fix crashes, and a small set of fixed usage events, so we can see whether the app works: onboarding started and finished, app opened (at most once every half hour), the Premium screen shown and from where, whether a purchase or restore succeeded, was cancelled, is pending or failed, that a weekly step was chosen (and whether it was suggested or your own, never its words), and that the taper schedule question was answered (accepted or declined, nothing else). Each event carries only fixed labels, the app version and the iOS major version, and a random identifier created on your phone that is not linked to you, your Apple Account or your purchase.

Never sent: your name, your reason for stopping, pick-ups, slips, cravings, triggers, gaps, streaks, plan dates, spend, check-in answers, situations you name, plans you write, the steps you choose, reminder settings, or any text you type.

Usage events go to PostHog, Inc. in the United States, which is certified under the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and are kept for twelve months. Crash reports go to Sentry, with personal-information sending disabled, and are kept for thirty days. Turning the switch off stops both immediately; Delete all data also issues a new random identifier.

This website

This site is static and is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare records standard request logs (such as IP address, user agent and the page requested) to serve and protect the site, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

Support email

If you email us, we receive your address and what you wrote. Mail to support@cubedcreation.com is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox we control, where it is kept for as long as needed to help you, and deleted afterwards. We do not add you to any list.

Your rights

Because the app keeps your data on your device, you already control it: you can view, export (Premium) and delete it yourself. For the support channel, you can ask us to delete your messages at any time. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator.

Children

OneLess is for adults who vape. It is not intended for anyone under 18.
